CHARD COMMUNITY PROJECT

DESIGN | To create planting that is resilience, future proof and colourful for the community. We used a bespoke soil substrate was introduced to lower fertility to develop more robust plants and make the care of the space more manageable. The small market town is situated on the edge of the Black Down Hills (AONB) and we created a planting plan to be as fun and colourful as possible during the summer seasons when the town is the busiest while adding as many opportunities for pollinators as possible with a large variety of flower shapes that continue over many months.

We worked along side Chard Town Council and Chard Gardening Group to make this project possible.
